This is one the strangest fashion shoots I've ever made stuff for. Robbie Spencer asked me to design some bizarre padded pieces/head gear and plaster accessories. I've wanted to make Cronenberg/Naked Lunch inspired outfits for ages so this seemed like the perfect opportunity. Robbie and I played a kind of 'human buckaroo' with the poor models while they baked under about ten layers of of Lycra, latex and fashion finery. I felt dreadful for them. Who says modeling is easy?

The 'Cronenberg' aesthetic is such a bold choice, and I can only imagine the challenge of balancing ten layers of Lycra and latex without the whole vision collapsing. It reminds me of the 'stress tests' we deal with in technical environments—when you're pushing a system to its absolute limit, you have to be incredibly precise. I actually use a CZN save data guide to help me navigate those exact types of complex 'layers' in my data projects. It calculates the thresholds to ensure that the Zero System's auto-pruning doesn't wipe out my progress when things get too crowded. Just as you managed to pull off a bizarrely beautiful shoot under pressure, having a reliable tool to monitor the limits makes all the difference. Can't wait to see the final photos!
